Artist of the Month: Katrín Myrra releases new single “Tilbaka”
Katrín Myrra, our featured Artist of the Month, returns with a new track that continues her journey of fearless self-expression.
Tilbaka is Icelandic pop with clarity and emotional weight — a song about walking away from what no longer serves you. Be it a relationship, a job, a friendship, or a limiting mindset, the track speaks to the quiet strength of letting go and choosing change.
Katrín co-wrote the song with Icelandic producer Dagbjartur (aka Daybright). Initially working on a different idea, they decided to scrap it and start from scratch. The result: a fresh, direct and resonant track that connects without overexplaining.
“I associate this song with stepping away from something that no longer serves you... but honestly, I just want people to interpret it in their own way,” says Katrín Myrra.
There’s no overproduction, no forced metaphors — Tilbaka just lands. And sometimes, that’s all a good pop song needs to do.
